Solace

Hi, I'm Solace 👋

I started this channel back in February 2024. The idea was something between a digital journal and old-school Minecraft. A place to think out loud about the stuff most of us are quietly working on, set against the game that taught a lot of us how to feel okay. It started as a personal project, and somewhere along the way it turned into something I care about a lot more than I expected to.

What I'm really trying to do is make the internet feel a little smaller. Most of us spend hours a day in places that don't really care about us, and it leaves you with a kind of loneliness that's hard to put a name to. Solace is meant to be the opposite of that. A corner of the internet where the whole point is just to actually know each other.

It's been working better than I thought it would. There are tens of thousands of people in the Discord now, and the Minecraft server has folks on it pretty much every day. People keep coming back, and that's the part I'm proudest of. It turned into a real community instead of just an audience.

If you're new here, I'm really glad you found us. I hope I'll see you around in the videos, over in the Discord, and wherever this whole thing goes next.
